Neuropsychological
Assessment
This is a comprehensive assessment that uses various neurocognitive tests developed to evaluate different aspects of brain functioning:
Attention and concentration
Learning and memory
Language and verbal abilities
Visuospatial function and non-verbal abilities
Speed of information processing
Executive functioning (e.g. planning, problem-solving, self-monitoring, and inhibitory control)
The assessment also examines changes in mood, personality, and behaviour that can occur following brain injury or in the context of a neurological disorder.
Such an assessment is preceded by a clinical interview. A clinical report is produced following the assessment.
