PROFILE
I am a Clinical Neuropsychologist. My private practice primarily aims to provide expert neuropsychological assessment of individuals with brain injury or neurological disorder and to offer psychological therapy for emotional difficulties. I have extensive experience working with people who have experienced brain trauma of various kinds. The assessment and rehabilitation of mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) and treatment of functional neurological disorders are my specialist interests.
I have worked in the NHS since 2004 and continue to work part-time as a Clinical Neuropsychologist at North Bristol NHS Trust. I provide specialist outpatient diagnostic assessment as part of my current role. This involves assessing patients with a wide range of neurological conditions including TBI, stroke, brain tumours, MS, dementia, and epilepsy. I provide clinical supervision for other clinical psychologists and clinical neuropsychologists working in these services.
I completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Liverpool. I then underwent further specialist training in neuropsychology at the University of Bristol, achieving Distinction. Following this, I obtained the Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (QiCN), which is viewed as the gold standard qualification for clinical neuropsychology within the UK.
I also have academic responsibilities as Honorary Senior Lecturer in Clinical Neuropsychology and Deputy Clinical Director of Postgraduate Programmes in Clinical and Applied Neuropsychology at Bristol University. I provide postgraduate teaching and training in clinical neuropsychology and am a national assessor of professional competencies in clinical neuropsychology.
